ADMINISTRATIVE DESCRIPTION:  A teaching hospital associated with the Yale University School of Medicine and the University of Connecticut School of Medicine offers inpatient and outpatient medical services, an orthopaedic center for joint reconstruction, a family birthing center, a neonatal ICU, an arthritis center, a chest pain center, a trauma center, a sleep laboratory, a comprehensive psychiatric department, a crisis intervention center, health screening, community education, and wellness programs. The hospital is also affiliated with Conn. Children's Medical Center in Hartford enabling it to provide specialized pediatric care.
